How the 6-minute benchmark works

Start: We send a short passage on WhatsApp matched to your child’s age. Print it or open it on your phone. Ask your child to read aloud and reply with a voice message.
Analyze: We analyze the recording to compute Words Correct Per Minute (WCPM) and accuracy, and compare the score to the Hasbrouck & Tindal norms. We also flag decoding slips so you can see why fluency is high or low.
